Hi, and welcome to my blog!
We are planning to walk the Cotswolds Way in late September 2013 and this will be a daily record of the journey. The route is 102 miles long, stretching from
Chipping Camden in the North to Bath in the South. Our aim is to complete the
walk in 10 days, averaging 10 miles a day, with a rest day in the middle.
We walked 72 miles around the Isle of Wight in 8
days last year, so this is a step up in terms of challenge. As an added incentive we are fundraising
for the local branch of a well-known national charity, Home Start South West
Kent. Home-Start supports families with at least
one child under five years of age who are struggling to cope with stress and
difficulties affecting their family life and the positive development of their
children. Kent County Council has drastically cut its funding and the branch is
struggling to carry on, so it seemed like a good idea for us to support this
worthwhile cause. You can learn more
about Home Start at http://www.home-start.org.uk/
If you want to make yourselves feel good, and make
us feel really motivated, you could always go on to our fundraising page and
make a donation now! http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=wickham&isTeam=true
Thank
you very much.

PS. Come back here at the end of September to see how we are getting on!
